Blog Yorkshire Meet

Oh "Hello Monday - we meet again...."

U r g h

That 5am alarm beep on the first day back at work is just terrible isn't it, especially when you've had a really good weekend.

* Sigh *

And my weekend has been pritty good too let me tell you, and that's mainly all thanks to the Blog Yorkshire Event that took place at Revolution in Leeds on Saturday afternoon.

It was a great day and I had the chance to catch up with the usual Leeds lovelies, as well as speak to some new faces - many of which I'd only ever had the odd Twitter conversation with.
(I just love events for this - meeting allll the people!)

The theme for the day was "Festival"...

I've never (unfortunately!) been to a festival in all of my 30 years (sad but true) - so I just opted to wear a fairly old, yellow Boohoo dress and some even older New Look gladiator sandals...

I think it worked OK anyway.

The excitement started for me the moment we arrived.

Carrieanne and Faith (the fab event organisers) had made each one of us a VIP badge complete with our Twitter pictures

I absolutely loved mine and wore it until I was back at home later that afternoon.

There was so much crammed into the day too.

We had games with prizes

We had sweeties and cakes

And we had lots of brands to talk to, tempting us with their offerings.

~ Pastille Beauty Bar were offering some lovely, quick manicures

~ Country Attire were offering "Win Hunter Wellies" (which I sooo wanted!!) in their Welly Croquet Game

~ Quiz Clothing brought lots of sparkles along with them and a fab Style Challenge, with a £50 voucher, won by the very lovely Rebecca at Queen Beady

~ The very pretty Georgina at She Might Be Loved was offering make overs from her own vast array of a make up collection

~ Allertons hair salon were also on hand for a short part of the day, offering free festival hair styling

~ The lovely ESPA ladies came to offer skin consultations and to shower us with luxury

~ And Rock Pamper Scissors were milling around speaking to us all too.

* P H E W *

No wonder I was ready for a nap by 4pm.

But that wasn't the end of it.

Oh no!

There was a raffle in aid of The British Heart Foundation too, with some ah-mazing prizes up for grabs

There were Zatchels (three - yes three of them!), Hunter wellies, Illamasqua sets - and so much more.

I did fairly well from my tickets I must say, winning three prizes:

~ A Glitzy Secrets bracelet

~ A Barefaced Beauty Angel Eyes Kit and lipstick

And....

~ A £100 voucher to spend at Quiz Clothing

I was a very happy lady let me tell you!

We also had goody bags - yes, I know - totally spoilt - but more on those beauties later...

The afternoon was a great success, thanks to the Blog Yorkshire ladies for letting me be part of the day.

I can't wait for the next one
