2015 Favourites - Month Number Two

Right, I'll admit that this post is mega later than I planned and I know I'll be writing up March's contribution to the "series" (if that's what you'd call it) before too long, but I've just been so mega busy lately.

But never mind, I still wanted to write this one and let you all in on the wide array of things that I was really loving around February time.

And here they are...a real mis-mash of bits and bobs I'll admit, but I've loved them none the less...

...Re-discovering a love of the books I've already read...

I've always been a fan of getting comfy on the sofa and pulling out a well read copy of a book I've read in the past and totally fallen in love with, and February was no exception.

The book I just had to re-read was Fifty Shades, because, well I was going to the cinema to see the film of course so there was no getting away from the fact that I needed a little re-cap of what was going on
(like I could really forget!)

But even if it's not Fifty Shades, it will be something else even more utterly amazing, such as a Harry Potter or a Hunger Games...

I love them

I think it must be something to do with that feeling of familiarity of rediscovering a once loved scene or character and being able to pop back in to visit all of those old places once discovered that is just really comforting, relaxing and well - just fab.

...Bourjois Happy Light Serum Primer...

Now, this primer is one of my absolute favourite things ever and I know I've mentioned it on the blog before, but it really is brilliant.

Ever since I discovered it's existence over a year ago, you can guarantee it has been on my face everyday since.

I once made the mistake of waiting until one bottle was totally empty and scraped out to within an inch of it's life before going to invest in another...and then found that practically everywhere had sold out of it

* n i g h t m a r e *

I have certainly learnt that little lesson - always invest in more favourite primer before the previous bottle is totally gone.

It is just great and seems to really agree with my skin.

It makes my face look and feel a whole lot better - even with only minimal make up on top, it really illuminates everything and makes me feel fab.

I love it and recommend it to everyone.

...Cinema trips with the girls...

I haven't done this in what seemed like ages and then I went twice in as many weeks.

Great stuff eh.

I had a lovely girly date with one of my best friends and we had a real relaxed, chilled out night - it was so nice.

And then on the other evening, a group of four of us went to see Fifty Shades of Mr Grey and we had a right giggle.

...in particular over the Pick N Mix section in the cinema where we seemed to revert back to our childhood, over-excitable, sweet-giddy ways.

It was brilliant to have a little bit of no stress girl time.

I love evenings like that.

...Food...

Yeah, just food in general really.

I bloody love the stuff.

And I can't seem to get enough of it at the moment and no matter how much I wanted to (and still do want to - it's an ongoing issue!!) be as healthy as possible, it really isn't happening right now unfortunately.

There's just so much amazing stuff out there to try - it would be rude not to...

~ Yum ~

...Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation...

Now I have had this in my possession for a little while now - I actually think I bought it just a few days after it was released - and it's fab.

I do think I somehow managed to pick up a shade that is slightly too dark for my skin tone though, but I've always mixed a few foundations together anyway, and this little trick still seems to work fine for me with this foundation too.

To test it out fully I did obviously use it on it's own a few times and was really impressed with the coverage it gave.

It really is like a concealer and foundation all rolled into one.
(I'll be reviewing it fully on the blog shortly)

It is such a great product - but then again I've only ever used Clinique foundations and have nothing but great things to say about them all.

...Home Improvements...

We are (very!) slowly but surely making a few changes to the house at the moment - I'm desperate to get things looking all lovely, fresh and new in time for the summer.

Upcoming posts will no doubt feature a few of the bigger (much messier - ugh!) things we are planning on doing, but at the moment I've just really been enjoying sprucing bits up with small accessories such as candles and cushions

...and more candles...
(I do love a good scented candle!)

And I think, for February's Loves, that is just about it...

Let me know what things you've been loving and I'll be back (very) soon with the next instalment.

Keep enjoying all the lovely stuff
