Dressing The Man With Guide London

Well, my fashion related posts at the moment are a very clear indication to why my Hubby is fast needing a whole load more wardrobe space.

Certainly more than me I think...

...well...maybe we're not quite at that level just yet, but with the amount of clothes he is acquiring at the moment it means that we could reach that point fairly soon.

And a recent delivery has just added to our clothing space issues...not that the Hubby minds...

I mean why would he - especially when the delivery in question - from Guide London (find them here) - provided him with the perfect opportunity to smarten his image up a little bit.

He was in his element

Now don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong in the slightest with opting for comfort when it comes to clothing choices - my Husband is very well known for his love of comfy jogging bottoms far more than he is for any kind of a smart tailored look.

Which is all fine and dandy...

..until there is ever a semi-formal event that we need to attend...

At events such as these, well, joggers and a hoodie just will not do.

And it was just our luck that an invitation for such an event reached us fairly recently - it was for a christening.

~ A christening.

~ In a church

Now that kind of venue just demands a higher level of respect and smartness doesn't it.

And luckily for us - and thanks to Guide London - we were very much prepared.

Guide London are a small independent company run by a London family who began their journey in 1973.
One small idea formed the foundations of the company which has grown and developed and today, they are able to offer a whole array of men's essential items - from shirts to socks to trousers to coats.

Each item focuses on details  - the company strongly believe that "every detail matters".

And indeed it does

We were very kindly given the choice between a few of their fab products, and the Hubby, very happily, chose this:
(find here)

A comfortable, lightweight long sleeved plain polo shirt which is really smart looking yet isn't too over the top.

Very manageable for him.

The material has the feel of a fairly casual, comfortable top, but the collar and button pocket detailing really help to smarten it up.

My Hubby teamed this polo with smart black trousers and a pair of (fairly smart) trainers - a winning combo which looked brill together.

He received so many compliments from people - probably as they were a tad shocked to see him scrub up so well.

He has had nothing but positive things to say about this top and has been scouring the Guide London website for an upcoming wedding we have to outfit plan for very soon.

Looks like I will have no choice but to sacrifice some of my wardrobe space after all...
