~ 2016 ~
Well, the year is most certainly under way now isn't it.
~ New Year, New Start.
~ Out with the old, in with the new.
It seems that at this time of year you really can't escape all of those cliche quotes and promises of "new beginnings" now can you.
But rather than spending all of that time each and every year focusing on the things we actively want to alter, want to change, want to improve, why not invest the time looking at the features that we love about ourselves - be constructive and positive and highlight all of these rather than commit to constantly making changes.
I have to admit that even though I say this, since 2016 began I have joined a new gym and I have focused on re-starting Slimming World again, but these were things I was going to do anyway, new year or no new year.
I'm trying to get myself back to the place I was in before Baby Baker was born for my own health really - it's just a coincidence that this happened to fall close to January starting rather than being any kind of a new year's resolution.
Babies are born when they need to be born after all!
Trust me, I'd much rather be enjoying life, trying to boost myself by looking at the things I do actually like about myself rather than stressing over the things I don't like - and who wouldn't!
...like my cheekbones for example...
"Something I wouldn't want to change about myself at all are my cheekbones, I love the definition they give to my face...no major contouring required over here...unless I want to make them stand out more of course and then out comes that contour kit.
I "flaunt" them by - well, but doing what else - offering up a cheeky pout whenever possible of course..."

You see!
Liking a part of yourself - no matter how silly it may seem to others - really helps to focus on the nice stuff, the positive stuff, when, lets be honest, it is so much easier to sit and pull ourselves apart at every turn.
But what's the point in that?
Hairfinity feel this way too and have made it their ongoing mission to help people feel as confident as they can within their own skin.
Hairfinity launched a campaign - #LovingMyNaturalBeauty - to celebrate natural beauty in a bid to encourage all of us to spend the New Year focusing on the things we love about ourselves rather than all of those little niggles we loathe and continuously "resolve" to change.
Personally I think this is such a refreshing idea to be stepping into January with and it would seem a lot of other lovely ladies feel the same way too...
"I love my natural hair because I love the creative, and unique styles that I can achieve with it. I can practically mould my hair into endless possibilities"
Leighanne from Bump and Beyond

“I didn’t like my red hair as a child. I wouldn’t change it now though!"

~ What fabulous positivity ~
Hairfinity products are formulated, I suppose very much the same as all of these positive self images - they help to nourish from the inside out.
Each product is packed full of vitamins - all of which are essential for helping hair look and feel it's absolute best.
And to set my year off nicely I was very kindly gifted an amazing set of products to help me continue on this "I'm loving myself right now" journey...
Essentious shampoo, conditioner, strengthening treatment (all of which smell amazing I must add) and a course of sixty hair vitamin supplements.
How very kind of them I hear you say.
How very kind of them I hear you say.
But the generosity continuous and not only do I have a set all for my very own but Haifinity sent me the products in duplicate so that I could send them to one of you lovelies too, and all you have to do is complete the Rafflecopter below...
(**UK only - I will contact winner once competition has ended & they have 48 hours to contact me or another winner will be picked from entries - I will post prize within a week of the winner contacting me **)
