~ Mother's Day ~
Please - someone, anyone - tell me that I'm not the only person out there who is more than a little surprised that Mother's Day this year is this actual coming weekend...
I'm a Mum of two myself and I literally had no idea it was so soon - I mean yes of course I've spotted the cards and the gifts in shops but for some unbeknown reason I assumed it was around the eighteenth of March.
But certainly not this weekend.
Turns out I was very wrong wasn't I and, if the look on my son's face this morning was anything to go by when I mentioned how soon the day actually was, he obviously didn't have a clue either.
Not that this bothers me - I'm not one for expecting a lot of gifts on any occasion really - a card and a bunch of daffodils would more than make my day...and of course a lie in on Mother's Day morning wouldn't go amiss either but I realise I'm not working with miracles here.
As it so happens though, this year I am actually going to be a tad spoilt because, thanks to GiftsOnlin4U and their vast range of personalised Mother's Days gifts, I already have a cute little something lined up for myself and it literally has my name (or a version of my name) all over it...
This lovely little gift from the engraved watches section of the website is not only emblazoned with a cute picture of my two lovelies but it also features not one, but two messages direct from them to me.
The watch itself has a white marble effect face to which I was then able to add an image of my choice to...
I had options to edit and resize the image on the website - because everything is made, created and dispatched from the one location - and this allowed me to get the positioning of the photograph just where I wanted it, creating an item totally unique to myself and my preferences.
To add a little something extra I also decided to have a short message on the watch face as well as the engraving on the back (my son chose the wording - I'm not that vain)...
And I have to say I'm really rather pleased with the overall look and feel of the watch - it's such a lovely gift idea because it's something a little different which is really meaningful and special.
All of the different customisation options available - there really is nothing you couldn't have - mean that the watch could be made to suit anyone for any occasion - I know my Mum would love to have one with pictures of her three Grandchildren on but I also know people who would love a picture of their favourite pet on too.
It really is a gift that could be made to suit everyone.
And the real leather strap adds a touch of luxury and fanciness to the finish too.
I'm quite impressed anyway and am very much looking forward to this sitting on my arm this Sunday when I open it (for the second time!) on my very own Mother's Day.
