A Fab Read Finally Has A Part Two

I make no secret of the fact that I'm a bit of a reader and love nothing more than sitting with my face in a book getting lost in the pages.

If you've looked at my blog recently, you'll see that I have ventured to London especially to go to the Harry Potter Studio Tours and - wow - I had an absolute ball.

That post makes it absolutely clear how much of a Potter fan I am (take a peek here).

I love that whole genre of books - the whole magical, make-believe, fantasy-world kind of a book - they're just fab.

In fact, I reviewed such a book a while ago on my blog - Eric Elmoor And The Gauntlet Of Godric - and even had the fab job of reading it before it was available to everyone else...I even suggested little tweeks that I thought would improve it to the author too.

Check me out eh!!

Now that was ages ago, and I was sort of wondering how the main character, Mr Eric Elmoor, was getting on as his world exploded into a little bit of chaos at the end of the last book.

And then I got my hands on the second book.

'Eric Elmoor And The Chalice Of Cameron'

Yay.

I'm currently beta reading it for the author - not that there are many changes to be made - Mr Meyers is a pritty brilliant writer - but it's not ready just yet - but *exclusive* - it will be released on October 25th.

Get that date in the diaries for sure!

Obviously, I'm not going to give any spoilers about the plot, but the story follows the same magical path as the first.

The main theme of racism is again explored in lots of detail, and it looks at how prejudices effect everyone around them.

The elves of Fairwood are slightly dependant upon the dwarves this time round - but can they ever overcome their long standing hatred of each other and ever work together - even if the common good of everyone depends upon it...?

I'm not so sure myself - but I'm not at the end of the book yet.

The story is packed full of the "goodies", the "baddies", a hero, with hints at love, war, some brilliant cliff-hangers - just everything you could possibly need from a good read really.

It's brilliant and as much as I need and want to finish it, part of me really doesn't want to get to that last page.

Here's hoping book three is ready soon.

Make sure you pick up a copy of book one - find it here - and get all ready for the next exciting instalment.

You know you want to...
